In a rather Ubisoft fashion, taking out the towers becomes a priority to making any forward progress. The biggest shake-up in terms of gameplay though is control towers which are able to repair and buff robots, while at the same time disabling your shields and mount. There’s also new actual animals, including mountain goats and badgers.

We wouldn’t worry about being overpowered though, as the expansion is extremely difficult from the off. The game recommends you be at least level 30 when playing The Frozen Wilds, and at this point most people are no doubt going to use their character from having beaten the main story – which is likely to be considerably more than that. It didn’t affect its sales though, thankfully, and its mixture of open world exploration, third person combat, and the best graphics on the PlayStation 4 was justifiably successful.
